Information:

The purpose of this code of practice is to provide advice on the preparation of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) where required by legislation. The aim is to provide consistent health and safety advice to persons who could be exposed to hazardous substances and Dangerous Goods.

(a) This code of practice applies to materials classified as
(i) hazardous substances; and
(ii) Dangerous Goods.


(b) This Code of Practice does not apply to Dangerous Goods that are:
(i) Class 1-Explosives; MSDS.
(ii) Class 6.2-Infectious Substances;
(iii) Class 7-Radioactive Material; and
(iv) C1 combustible liquids that do not fall within the definition of a hazardous substance.
