MDG 31 Design Guidelines for the Construction of Feeder Breakers

Information:

A guideline for manufacturers of feeder breakers to be used at underground coal mines in NSW. Aspects of feeder breaker design relating to safety are addressed including controls, brakes, hydraulic systems, towing procedures, signage and lighting, and noise and dust generation. Appendices outline other relevant standards and guidelines, required documentation, and a summary of recent incidents related to the operation of feeder breakers.
